Deana Anderson

My name is Deana Anderson and I have been a teacher for 27 years.Growing up in a home of educators, I learned the value of education early in life. My parents were role models for me and guided me in my path to becoming a teacher.
My teaching career includes First Grade, Second Grade, Pre-K Special Ed., Kindergarten and First Grade EIP and ESOL. I am excited to begin a new school year with my Kindergarten EIP and ESOL students. I love teaching little ones. I love to see the look on a student's face when they accomplish a task that at first seemed impossible, or when he or she learns new concepts. Bringing learning to life and inspiring children to be lifelong learners is my passion.
My family is my greatest blessing. I have been married to my husband, Kent for 38 years. We have two wonderful sons, two beautiful daughters in loves, and five precious grandsons. I enjoy going to the beach, lake, church, shopping and sporting events. I truly treasure my family with my whole heart and enjoy being a part of this fabulous community and school system.

My name is Gabrielle Delgado and I am excited to make even more memories at BES as an ESOL/EIP teacher! This is my 15th year teaching & working with Kindergarten students! I am passionate about instilling confidence and pride into our Kindergarten students, and consider it an honor to get to teach those students who are learning English! My Wonderful Husband and I have been married for 12 years and have six-year-old Twin Daughters! We enjoy family time, serving at church, good food, and all things Disney! EDUCATION

Tracy Gilmore
Interventionist
For the past 29 years, I have combined my passion for education with my love for children. Having taught special education for 26 of those years prepared me for my current position as interventionist. It is my privilege to partner with our amazing Kindergarten teachers to ensure that each student at BES receives the support needed to start their school career on a positive note. My teaching journey has taken me from Georgia to California, however, the highlight of my career has been serving the wonderful students and families at Buford Elementary, the BESt school in the world, for the past 19 years!

Jana McCranie

I have truly been blessed to live in Buford my entire life. Along with all of my family members, it’s with great pride to say that we are all Buford graduates.
I’ve had the most wonderful opportunity teaching all 30 years for Buford City Schools with all 30 years at the BESt school ever-Buford Elementary. I have taught 1st and 2nd grades and currently am an EIP and ESOL teacher. I absolutely love my job and love teaching kindergarten students! The students bring so much joy to my everyday life.
I have been married to my husband, Karl, for 25 years. We are blessed with 2 wonderful sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law. Our oldest son, Austin, is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and is married to his college sweetheart, Chapel. Our youngest son, Mason, is currently a Senior at Georgia Southern University. My time outside of school is spent running/walking, working out, spending time with my family, and enjoying lake life at Lake Hartwell. I hope these precious kindergarten students love school and love Buford as much as my family and I do. GO WOLVES!!! Media Specialist
I am Mrs. Rope, the Media Specialist for our school. This is my fourteenth year teaching, with experience in pre-k, kindergarten, and as a media specialist. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology. I have a love for all things reading and technology. I like to incorporate STEM and maker space activities into fun lessons for students. I love seeing smiling faces come to check out books and enjoy activities in our space! EDUCATION

Speech Therapist I am so blessed to have spent 21 years working with children with disabilities, and this will be my 4th year with Buford City Schools. I have a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University, and my Bachelor's studies were in Psychology at the University of West Florida. I am certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and also hold a Georgia state SLP certification. I have served as a speech pathologist in many different capacities, including Autism clinical research diagnostics and consulting at FSU, as well as early intervention, private, and hospital settings. My sweet daughter, Eva, attends Buford Senior Academy, and we have a King Charles Spaniel, Bear who is our sunshine. My work is my passion, and I’m elated to be able to serve our precious kiddos at BES!
