I have my BFA from UGA (GO DAWGS) and I am certified K-12 art. I have only taught Elementary age kids in my 22 years because I truly love the little artists!

My family means the world to me!!

I am married to a Firefighter, have two daughters @ BHS (10th and 12th ), a step-son (21yrs), a step-daughter (30 yrs), and two granddaughters. We also have two Olde English Bulldogs (Hank and Harley).

I love making art. Teaching art to young minds is the best. They keep me young and I love sparking their inner artist.

Christi Lenz
Music

This will be my 30th year teaching, with 23 years at BES!  I have taught general music, band and chorus and have worked with students in kindergarten all the way up to the college level.  One of my favorite things about working with kindergarten students is seeing the joy they experience as they discover and learn new things.  It is my goal as a music educator to help students of all ages find that joy and love for music. My purpose in teaching music can be summed up by this quote:  "The fact that children can make beautiful music is less significant than the fact that music can make beautiful children.“   -   Cheryl Lavender

After beginning my career 26 years ago as a middle school and high school cheerleading coach, I have found my favorite place to teach, BES! I am beginning my 7th year as the Kindergarten PE teacher and I am so excited to teach your child this year. I am married to Stuart Chester, he is the baseball coach at BHS. We have 5 children, Ryan, David, Laura, Sarah and Abbey.  I enjoy being at home with my family and my two sweet puppies, Buck and Coco. I love travelling to the beach and to the mountains and enjoy walking around our neighborhood. When I am not teaching PE I love going to cheer on the Wolves! I have taught several different grade levels and I can say that I truly LOVE teaching Kindergarteners!!
